Curriculum and Instruction

Enter to learn; go forth to serve. Inspired by our mission and by the Portrait of a New York State Graduate, Pleasantville UFSD provides a rich and responsive academic experience committed to helping students develop into their best selves. Guided by New York State Standards, we offer a course of study providing various pathways to success, embedded in a caring, supportive, and inclusive community. With the student experience at the heart of our work, our curriculum encourages students to explore their passions and engage in the local and global community, while ensuring that they are academically prepared to step out into the world. Ultimately, our curriculum provides students with the skills, strategies, habits of mind, and knowledge to understand themselves, the world around them, and their place in that world.
